The original Clark Funeral Home
The original Clark Funeral Home

I n 1908 the business was founded by Fred Clark and was known as Rock and Clark Undertaking Co. Fred Clark purchased the Rock interest in 1915 and it was then known as Clark Funeral Home and was located at the corners of King Hill and Colorado Ave.

In 1928, Fred’s son joined the family business. In 1947 they moved to the current location at 120 Illinois Ave. Earl purchased the business from his father in 1953. Three years later Earl’s son Paul joined the business.

In 1987, Jeff and Carolyn Sampson purchased the business from the Clark Family. In 2007, a second generation Funeral Director and Embalmer, Thomas (T.J.) Sampson joined the business. Still to this day, the Sampson family continues their friendship with the Clark’s, and the funeral home continues to carry on the same dedicated service which was established by the Clark family over 100 years ago.
