Anna Donaldson

Anna Mae (Bascue) Donaldson, 74, of St. Joseph, passed away Friday April 20,2012 at a local hospital. Anna was born the oldest of twelve children January 21, 1938 to George and Hilda (Wood) Bascue. She graduated from High School in Iowa where she resided for a few years before moving to the Halls and Rushville, MO areas where she resided for most of her life. On September 26, 1959 she married Robert F. Donaldson. She was a Christian. Her hobbies included cooking, canning, flower gardening, mushroom hunting, bird watching and she especially loved fishing and being outdoors. Anna always was sure to feed everyone she could. Preceding her in death are her parents; a grandson, Robbie Donaldson; a great-grandson, Robert David Donaldson and aunt Jessie Meyer. Surviving her is her husband Robert of the home; six children and spouses, Jodi DeFisher, Letha (Shaun) Nold, Rick (Cindy) Donaldson, Bob Donaldson, Nina (Doug) Alders, and Kenny (Gail) Donaldson; four grandchildren, Angie (Andy) Becker, Missy Opperman, Josh (Andrea) Donaldson, and Tyler and (Maranda) Donaldson and numerous great-grandchildren. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Clark-Sampson Funeral Home with interment following in Armstrong Cemetery, Rushville, MO. Pastor George Baugh officiating. Visitation will be after 2:00 p.m. Monday at Clark-Sampson Funeral Home where family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Rushville Christian Church.
