Doris Maxine Gasper

Doris Maxine DeVall Gasper, 85, of Ozark, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2012 with her family surrounding her at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. She will be greatly missed.

Doris was born November 19, 1926 to Samuel “Pop" DeVall and Lena (Atteberry) DeVall Gaul in St. Joseph, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Gasper on June 16, 1947.

Doris was a current member of the Ozark United Methodist Church and had been a longtime dedicated member of the Hyde Valley Methodist Church. Doris and Kenneth were life long residents of St. Joseph until moving to Ozark in 2001 to be closer to their son & his family. Her greatest joy in life was her three grandchildren and spending time with them.

Doris is survived by her husband of 64 years, Kenneth Gasper, Ozark; son and daughter in law, Kevin and Janet Gasper, Ozark; grandchildren, Brian Gasper and Caitlin Gasper of Ozark; and Jennifer Gasper and fiancé Timothy Ritzer of Springfield, MO. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Sam and his wife and sisters, Virginia, Lolla and their husbands.

Graveside services and interment 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Auburn Cemetery under direction of Clark Sampson Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. at the Clark-Sampson Funeral Home.
